Lady was a 34-year-old black Tennessee Walker who was surrendered to us with her pasture mate Bonnet. She spent many years as a show horse before being retired and placed in a pasture to live out her life. Unfortunately, during this time she obtained two leg injuries and also endured severe arthritis in all four legs, with the hind legs being more severe. Due to these issues she could not be ridden and required daily medication for pain. With her age and lack of teeth care she also required her feed to be wet and a special type of forage. Sadly on April 17th 2017 our sweet Lady crossed the rainbow bridge. Lady had been having a lot of pain and issues with her legs and unfortunately had a mild episode of colic. She laid down and had a very difficult time getting up, she let us know that she was ready to go be with our Lord. It was a very hard decision to make but the right one for her. Lady was very sweet and loving and we are so thankful to have been able to fill her final days full of love and attention. We love you so much Lady, you were the sweetest horse I have ever met and you will be missed beyond measure.
